* Funeral service for Jim Troshynski, 75, of Atkinson, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Atkinson with burial in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Jim Troshynski died Feb. 24 in the Faith Regional Health Services at Norfolk. Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday in Seger Funeral Home of Atkinson with a 7 p.m. Rosary. * A graveside service for Pauline Schmidt, 96, of Bassett, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Callahan Cemetery near Murdock. Pauline Schmidt died Monday, Feb. 26, in the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care. Survivors include nieces and nephews.

* Funeral service for Olive Simonton, 93, formerly of Purdum and Ainsworth, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, in the Purdum United Church of Christ with burial in the Purdum Cemetery. Olive Simonton died Monday, Feb. 26, in Linden Court at North Platte. Visitation is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of service in the United Church of Christ. * Funeral service for Ruth L. Luehrs, 96, of Long Pine, Feb. 4, in the Ainsworth Evangelical Free Church with burial in the Grandview Cemetery near Long Pine. Ruth Luehrs died Jan. 30 in her home. Survivors include daughters LaVonne Vetter and husband Dail of Cozad, Donna Mundorf of Long Pine, Joyce Hutcheson of Long Pine, and Dixie Hansen and husband Lee of Douglas, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Jean Burkinshaw of Long Pine, and Donna Mae Benson of Norfolk; nieces, nephews and other family members.

* Word has been received of the death of Sammy D. Ellis, 67, of Long Pine. Sammy Ellis died Jan. 21. Per his wishes, there will be no service. Survivors include daughter Elizabeth Stone of Minnesota; grandchildren; brother Dwayne Cassidy of Arizona; and other family members.

* A memorial service for Donald Ray Fernau, 93, of Ainsworth, will be held at a later date. Donald Fernau died Jan. 23 in the Sandhills Care Center. * Word has been received of the death of Merrill D. Strate, 85, of Ainsworth. Merrill Strate died Jan. 20 in the Sandhills Care Center. A service will be held at a later date. Survivors include his wife Olga Strate of Ainsworth; son Sean Strate and wife Stacy of Fredericksburg, Va.; two grandchildren; four siblings; nieces, nephews and other family members.

* Word has been received of the death of Raymond Eugene “Ray” Harp, 70, of Grand Island formerly of Ainsworth. Ray Harp died Jan. 8. A service was held in the All Faiths Funeral Home at Grand Island. Survivors include his wife Marylou Harp of Grand Island; daughters Renee Harp, Heidi Huebner, Tammy Alvarado and spouse Brett Ridge, and Katie Johnson and husband Jeff; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother Richard Harp and wife Sandy; and stepmother Joyce Harp.

Dolores Addison died Jan. 19 in the Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital at O’Neill. * A visitation for Marla Klockman, 60, of Bridgewater, S.D., Jan. 14, in the Faith Temple Church of Sioux Falls, S.D. Marla Klockman, the director of nursing at the Sandhills Care Center, died Dec. 30 in the Sanford USD Medical Center at Sioux Falls. Casey Jochem died Jan. 5 in his home. Bernard Sterns died Dec. 30 in Fairview Manor at Fairmont. Survivors include two nieces, a nephew, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
