* Promise Keepers Bible study, 6:30 a.m. in the D&B Cafe at Ainsworth.

* The annual Bargain Buyway begins today in 35 communities across north central Nebraska and continues through Sunday.

* Area courthouses and city offices are closed for Arbor Day. The driver’s license examiner will not be in the Brown County Courthouse today.

* Ainsworth, Stuart and West Holt are participating in the District Music Contest today at O’Neill.

* The Old Feed Store Art Center is open from 9:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Bassett.
