* Word has been received of the death of Charles A. "Chuck" DeVall, 73, of Bassett. Chuck DeVall died Dec. 8 in his home. His ashes were taken to Montana. * Funeral service for Hubert James Hood Sr., 78, of Jacksonville, Fla., Dec. 7, in the Church of God of Prophecy at Jacksonville with burial in the Riverside Memorial Park. Hubert Hood Sr., a 1956 graduate of Ainsworth High School, died Dec. 1. Jeannette Sweet died Nov. 24 in the Marycrest Assisted Living Center at Denver. Javier Garcia died Nov. 5 in an automobile accident. Survivors include sons Tim Fox of Bassett, and Tony Fox and wife Corky of Bassett; daughters Donna Billings and husband Dave of Valentine, and Brenda Magary and husband Roger of Ainsworth; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other family members.
