* Kenneth William Schroder, 69, of Hay Springs formerly of Ainsworth died Dec. 29 at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs. Funeral services were Jan. 2 at the Chadron Berean Church. Burial with military honors was held at the Ashby Cemetery. Survivors include: his wife Kay; son Shane Schroder; one granddaughter; sister Ruby Bishop and husband Harry of Scottsbluff; brother Ed Schroder of Hyannis; and numerous uncles and aunts, and nieces and nephews.

* Funeral service for former Ainsworth resident Terry Fales, 59, of Broken Bow Jan. 5 in the Evangelical Free Church in Broken Bow with burial at the Arnold, Nebraska cemetery. He passed away Dec. 30 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Survivors include a step-daughter; Jenny Landen of Kearney, step-son; Thad Hock of Denver, Colorado and a sister; Connie and husband Dan Spencer of Hastings. Terry was employed at KBRB in Ainsworth starting in 1973.

* Funeral service for Dorothy Ann Farr, 80, of Atkinson Jan. 5, in St. John’s Lutheran Church of Atkinson with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Atkinson. She passed away Dec. 31 at West Holt Memorial Hospital in Atkinson. Survivors include daughter Janet J. Farr of Atkinson; daughter-in-law Perri Farr of Stuart; three grandchildren; brother Max Karo and wife Luella of Stuart; and sister DeLores Seger and husband James of Milaca, Minn.

* Funeral service for Agnes "Betty" Ruther, 85, of Springview, Dec. 28, in the Springview United Methodist Church with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery. She passed away Dec. 23, in the Good Samaritan Hospital at Kearney. He passed away Dec. 15 in the West Holt Memorial Hospital. * Long Pine resident Juanita J. Thomas, 76, passed away Dec. 11. She is survived by sons Sammy Ellis of Long Pine, and Dwayne Cassidy of Page, Ariz.; sisters Joan Huffacker of Yucca, Ariz., and Deana Bowles of Williams, Ariz.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George Hanna passed away Dec. 11 at the Ravenna Nursing Home. * Funeral service for Lois A. Caubaruss, 71, of Hastings, Dec. 14, in Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth with burial in the Grandview Cemetery at Long Pine. She passed away Dec. 9, in the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital at Hastings. Survivors include numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

* Jay Kenney, 46, of Sutton, died in a two-vehicle accident near Sutton Nov. 23. Memorial service Nov. 28 in the Stratman Mortuary at Kearne. Survivors include his wife, Penney Kenney, four sons; two grandsons; his mother Dorothy Kenney of Ainsworth; sister Teresa Meyer-Borer of Atkinson; and brother Kyle Kenney of Columbus.

* Funeral service for Deb Osburn, 49, of Wood Lake, Nov. 25, in the Wood Lake Union Church with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Wood Lake. She passed away Nov. 21. Survivors include her husband Danny Osburn of Wood Lake; son Devin Osburn of Lincoln; daughters Dodi Osburn of Omaha and Darci Osburn of Lincoln; parents Delbert and Elsie Mundorf of Wood Lake; and brother Dan Mundorf of Oklahoma.

She passed away Nov. 22, in the Good Samaritan Center of Atkinson. * Lorene Graver Kelly, 78, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Ainsworth, passed away on Nov. 21. There will be no funeral service. Survivors include her husband Kent Kelly of Orlando; children Anne and Jim; sister Carol Graver Larson and husband Albert of Ainsworth; and niece Karan Clay and husband Dave of Long Pine.

* Eric B. Wiebe, 49, of Ponca, formerly of Bassett, passed away Nov. 19, in his home. At his request, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Survivors include his wife Judy of Ponca; parents Bruce and Deanne Wiebe of Bassett; sister Amy Jackson of Bassett; step-sons Chris Frisch and wife Amber of Round Rock, Texas, and Troy Frisch and wife Jena of Kuna, Idaho; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

* Funeral service for Carl Spies of North Platte, formerly of the Springview and Burton area, Nov. 20, in the Adams and Swanson Funeral Home at North Platte with burial in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery. He passed away Nov. 17 in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center at North Platte. * Funeral service for William Ensley, age 92, of Caldwell, Idaho, Oct. 23. He passed away Oct. 19. Survivors include sister Thelma Langer of Gettysburg, S.D., and several cousins from the area. Ensley was a 1937 graduate of Ainsworth High School.

He passed away at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lincoln at the age of 77 on May 11 after a battle with cancer. He served with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission as a Big Game Biologist for 44 years. * Loretta Jean Ogier, 80, of Bassett passed away Saturday, May 9 at her home in Bassett. Her remains were cremated. There will be no services locally.
